How many parks are in Jacksonville?

262 – that’s how many! Not to mention the community centers and recreational complexes. Jacksonville owns and operates the most municipal parks in the country. Over 80,000 acres are dedicated to public space – which rivals that of other, world renowned cities like Rome and Paris.

Mostly, the lands are ecological and game hunting preserves. But a good portion of it is also city parks, and we have no shortage of them. There are over 400 parks in the city limits.
