Memorial Park

This beautiful park in the heart of Riverside, Jacksonville hosts one of the city’s many monuments. The angel ascending a world of chaos is dedicated to the civilian victims and causalities of The Great World War – now known as World War I.

Memorial Park belongs to the city and is open form sunrise to sunset, like all city parks. What makes Memorial Park special is its location and historical significance.

Nestled alongside the St. John’s River in the cultural enclave that is Riverside, Memorial Park is a great destination for those seeking to pinch a penny and yet still experience Jacksonville’s heartbeat.
